pre-search for day 1 (august 19, 2009):

as i have said - i think we are on the brink of something spectacular. my research this summer has only further increased the quantification of that spectacularity. (in other words - holy cow.)
i would like to invite you into the realm of my insights for our adventure this year. see if you can start to see this incredible vision as well.
here is what i suggest...

1) view wieman's teaching science with science tools (pay special attention to - expert individual tutor)
2) view feynman's the pleaure of finding things out (pay special attention to feyman's ability to read while counting to 48)
3) view stand and deliver - about jaime escalante - i have copies you can borrow - unless we want to watch this together one night????
4) extra credit: read clayton christensen's disrupting class (this is the book i just finished - lays the whole plan out - vignettes of how ed will look in t 5-6 years - thanks to you guys getting it going - great read
